Salvador Jimenez
Meet Salvador Jimenez, Sr. Chief Engineer at Workspace Property Trust. Based in Dallas, Texas, Sal oversees eight Workspace properties across suburban areas of Dallas, Fort Worth, Frisco, and Irving. Alongside his team of engineers, Sal manages everything from minor repairs to major asset improvement projects. With over two decades of experience in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, Sal has been instrumental in maintaining and enhancing Workspace’s assets, as well as coordinating third-party specialists when needed.
In His Own Words:
Drawn to Workspace’s hands-on approach, Sal joined the company nearly five years ago. “When the opportunity to join Workspace came along, I didn’t hesitate. I wanted to be part of a national company that’s not just doing things differently, but doing them better. At Workspace, we take real pride in maintaining our buildings and exceeding tenant expectations. It’s been especially rewarding to revitalize older buildings in our portfolio—making them more energy-efficient and sustainable. It’s work I’m proud of because it benefits both our tenants’ bottom lines and the environment.”
Sal’s passion for his work is matched by his dedication to his team. He ensures they have the training and resources to excel, always emphasizing the importance of going above and beyond for Workspace’s tenants. One of Sal’s most memorable moments exemplifying this commitment came over a holiday weekend when a tenant’s server equipment went down, threatening to shut down their entire system. The tenant typically managed their own servers but couldn’t reach anyone for help. Stepping up without hesitation, Sal and his team went on-site, cleaned out the cooling system, and got everything back up and running. Their quick action not only saved the day but also earned Workspace the tenant’s trust to now oversee and maintain their server equipment regularly.
When Salvador is not in the office...
When he’s not keeping Workspace properties running smoothly, Sal enjoys life as an empty nester with his wife and their blended family of seven. Whether he’s on his own or with family, Sal loves spending time outdoors—hiking, kayaking, and fishing. A lifelong Dallas resident, Sal has one unexpected allegiance: during baseball season, you’ll find him proudly cheering on the Yankees.
